In fact when you realise there are thousands of chords it can be enough to put you off, and indeed many people have given up before they have started because they think it is far too difficult.

Tip –
Some students find playing G7 instead of G is easier to begin with. In most songs you can substitute G with G7 so if you find G7 easier to start with that’s fine.
